Annetta E. Powell
Age 88, of Louisville, passed away Sunday December 11, 2011 in Altercare of Louisville. She was born March 11, 1923 in East Canton to the late Murray A. and Mary E. (Knorr) Clapper. She was a Louisville resident since 1968 and was a 1941 graduate of East Canton High School. Annetta was a life member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and a member of the Lowell D. Oberly American Legion Auxiliary Post #667. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. "Bob" Powell in 2005. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Charlotte Powell of Massillon; one daughter, Joyce Powell of Louisville; one granddaughter, Erin Powell of Frankfort, KY; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Cecil Toalston of Louisville, Margie and James Amstutz of East Canton, Rose Williams of Ft. Meyers, FL; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday December 17, 2011 at 11:00am in St. Paul's United Church of Christ with Rev. Clark E. Kandel II officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Friday 5-7pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services on Saturday at the church (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ at 306 W. Church St., East Canton, OH 44730.
