Anne Mark
Age 87, of East Canton died Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Aultman Hospital. Born September 11, 1928 in East Canton to the late Monte and Effie (Kennedy) Snyder. She was a 1946 graduate of East Canton High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University in 1971. Anne retired from Canton City Schools in 1989 after 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ where she served in numerous capacities for many years. She was also a member of AARP. Preceded in death by her husband, Merlin James Mark in 2008; one sister, Lucille Sheatsley. She is survived by four children and spouses, Susan Clapper of East Canton, James Mark of Uniontown, Daniel and Judy Mark of Webster, NY, John Mark of Uniontown; two grandchildren and spouse, Sarah and Scott Vesalo of Louisville, Daniel Mark and fiancé ,Christina Monachino of Gainesville, FL; one great grandson, Sergio Vesalo of Louisville; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Fred Schantek of Englewood, FL. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Aultman 4 South for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 306 W. Church St., East Canton, OH. 44730, with Pastor Ed Dickerhoof officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
