Anna Belle Starkey
Age 88, of Canton, passed away Wednesday January 13, 2010 in the Legends Care Center. She was born October 14, 1921 in Canton to the late Earl and Irene (Thompson) Neighbor. She was a life resident of the Canton area and a 1939 graduate of Canton Township High School. She retired from Beckton-Dickenson after 31 years of service. Anna Belle was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marion "Barney" Starkey in 1981; one sister, Burdell Neighbor. She is survived by one daughter, Sandra (John) Knapski of Canton; one son, Brent (Ellie Moag) Starkey of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Matthew and Anna Knapski both of Canton, Jessica (Ian) Slater of East Canton, Jacob Starkey of Canton; one sister, Betty Lou (Leroy) Slutz of Canton; one niece, Kay (Neal) Frey of N. Canton; one nephew, Clyde Slutz of N. Canton. Funeral services will be Saturday January 16, 2010 at 11:00am with Pastor Mark A. Williams officiating, in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 2551 55th St NE, Canton, OH 44721. Internment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Friday (tonight) 6-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. and one hour before services at the church (10-11am).
