Anita L. Jaeb

Age 79, formerly of Canton, passed away Friday March 30, 2018 in Stuart Florida following a brief illness. She was born August 19, 1938 in Canton to the late Joseph and Antoinette (Russo) Medal. Anita was a 1956 graduate of Canton McKinley High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Massillon. She retired from Canton Local Schools in 1991 after 15 years of service. Anita loved Polka dancing and daily walks in the park with her canine companions, Rango and Sammy. Anita is survived by her loving husband, James “Wimpy” Jaeb to whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 7, 2018; four children, Stephanie (Mark) Ehret, Sheryl (Rick) Smith, Renee (Jeff) Edwards and Jim (Michele) Jaeb; seven grandchildren, Andy Ehret, Kyle (Meg) Ehret, Ryan and Jason Smith, Emily (Sean) Paul, Jeffrey Edwards and Colby Jaeb; one sister, Betty Stubavi; one brother, Nick (Brenda Newhouse) Medal. A private mass will be conducted for the family at a later date.
