Amanda B. Smith, age 90, of East Canton, died Friday July 7, 2006 in Hennis Care Center following an extended illness. She was born October 22, 1915 in Canton to the late John and Emma (Grove) Anderson. Amanda was an East Canton area resident since 1955 and was a member of Indian Run Christian Church. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Smith in 1977; one daughter, Carolyn Clark; one son, Richard R. Smith; one grandson, Randy Clark. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sharon Smith of East Canton; three granddaughters and their spouses, Amy and Ron Henderson of Kensington, OH, Susan and David Terry of Nashville, TN., Debra and Ken Martin of Nashville, TN.; seven great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Ruth Anderson of Massillon, Donald and Donna Anderson of Canton. Funeral services will be Saturday (today) July 8, 2006 at 1:00pm in Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Terry Bailey officiating. Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home (12-1pm). A private family committal service will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Indian Run Christian Church Building Fund at 7455 Hill Church St. SE, East Canton, OH 44730.
