Alice J. Plaskett

Age 98, of Canton, passed away Saturday May 26, 2018 in Danbury Senior Living. She was born December 20, 1919 in Canton Township to the late Clarence and Mildred (Smith) Hoffman. Alice was a graduate of Kent State University and retired as a school teacher from Canton City Schools after 24 years of service. She was a member of the Ohio and Stark County Retired Teachers Association. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse A. Plaskett in 1994; two sisters, Dorothy Fliger and Wilda Myers; one brother, Paul Hoffman. Alice is survived by one daughter, Virginia Morrow (Charles Jones) of Dellroy; one son, Howard (Margaret) Plaskett of East Canton; four grandchildren, Molly Plaskett and Douglas Plaskett, Tod (Susan) Morrow and Craig (Susan) Morrow; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday May 31, 2018 at 11:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Mark Black officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends and family will be received one hour before services on Thursday (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
