Alfretta B. “Ret” Bigler age 89, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Aviva Hills Assisted Living. She was born on April 28, 1935, in Cadiz, Ohio, to the late Woodrow and Nellie (Lyons) Manbeck. Alfretta spent much of her life as a cherished member of the Canton community.
A 1953 graduate of Canton McKinley High School, Alfretta dedicated 30 years of service as a secretary with Canton Local Schools before retiring in 2002. She was a devoted member of North Industry United Methodist Church.
Alfretta was preceded in death by her son, Robert W. Bigler, in 2016, as well as her sisters, Virginia Battista and Shelvy Greavu.
She is survived by her extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many dear friends, all of whom she loved deeply and who will continue to cherish her memory.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Dan Edwards. Interment will take place at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
