Ada L. Buxton
Age 95, of Canton died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in Altercare of Navarre following an extended illness. Born April 13, 1915 in Monroe Township, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Sylvia (Moreland) McCarty. She was a Canton area resident most of her life and a member of Howenstine Christian Church. Ada was also a member of Daughters of America and the Canton South AARP. Preceded in death by her husband Luther in 1974; one son, Glenn Buxton; three daughters-in-law, Jackie, Georgia and Caroline Sue Buxton; one grandson, Patrick Buxton; one granddaughter, Brenda Buxton; one great granddaughter, Tricia Pickard; one brother, Charles McCarty; three sisters, Helen Hoffee, Bessie Wess and Bernice McCarty. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, W. Gene and Barbara Buxton, Dwight Buxton, Dale and Nancy Buxton all of Canton; six grandchildren and one special grandson, Greg Buxton; five great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Bowers of Massillon, Lucille Albaugh and Mae Gaines both of Dellroy; two brothers and sister-in-law, Carl McCarty of Canton, Ernest and Barbara McCarty of Richville. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Chris Davis officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 pm.
