Ada M. Baker
Age 91, of Canton, passed away Thursday November 10, 2016 in Aultman Compassionate Care. She was born November 4, 1925 in Carrollton, OH to the late Upton and Savilla (Boyd) Gween. Ada was a 1943 graduate of Carrollton High School. She retired from Canton Local Schools as a bus driver after 20 years of service and was honored to be the first female bus driver in the school district. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and Canton Local Fire Department station #2. She is preceded in death by one son, Roger Baker in 2004; one granddaughter, Angela Baker. Ada is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Tony Sr.) Sablar; two sons, Victor and Harry Robert Baker; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Gween and Kenny Gween; one sister, Mona (Edward) Schultz; several nieces and nephews. There will be no public services. Memorial donations may be made to her grandson, Jacob Baker to help defray medical expenses.
